According to the terms of the loan, the borrower of the funds will be in Ukraine represented by the Ministry of Finance which will provide loan funds to selected participating banks for further financing of loan projects of its clients.
Ministry of Finance of Ukraine has attracted from the European Investment Bank (EIB) loan of EUR400 million for the credit support to the real sector of the economy, the development of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).
“Under the terms of the loan, the borrower of the funds will be in Ukraine represented by the Ministry of Finance, which will provide loan funds to selected participating banks for further financing of loan projects of its clients”, – stated in the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine.
EIB loan funds can be directed to lending to commercial banks, medium and long term investment needs (up to 10 years) and medium-term working capital (by two years), the private sector of the economy.
The size of loans, which can claim company – from EUR25 million (for small and medium-sized enterprises) to EUR50 million for companies with number of employees more than 3,000 people.
The loan has been allocated in the framework of the investment project “The main credit for small and medium-sized enterprises and companies with an average level of capitalization”.
