According to the law, business entity has the right to use the seal in its activities, but its use is not mandatory.
Petro Poroshenko signed the bill N4194, which provides for the abolition of the requirement of mandatory use of seals on documents. The website of the parliament reports this.
The bill proposed to exclude from the legislation requirements for mandatory use of seals, regardless of their availability from business entities, as well as the possibility of recognizing the document as invalid because of the lack of a seal.
There is no need to use seals in the relationships of economic entities with state bodies and local self-government bodies and establish administrative responsibility for extorting a stamp from an official document on the part of the state body or local government.
According to the law, a business entity has the right to use the seal in its activities, but its use is not mandatory. The presence or absence of an enterprise seal on the document does not create legal consequences.
A copy of a document submitted by a business entity to a state or local government authority shall be deemed to be certified if such signature is signed by the authorized person of the economic entity or by the personal signature of the individual entrepreneur. The body of state power or local self-government does not have the right to demand notarization of the authenticity of a copy of the document, if such a requirement is not established by law.
The law also establishes that the manufacture, sale or purchase of seals is carried out without obtaining any permits.
The bill was passed on March. It will enter into force three months after publication.
