In the first quarter of 2017, the state budget revenues amounted to 174 billion UAH, and expenditures – 184 billion UAH.

The state budget in the first quarter was fulfilled with a deficit of UAH 9.74 billion. This is 7.8% lower than the deficit for the same period last year, which was 10.57 billion UAH. The State Treasury Service reports this.
Incomes of the state budget in the first quarter amounted to 174.76 billion UAH, expenditures exceeded 184.55 billion UAH.
According to the Treasury data, in the first quarter, tax revenues increased by 32%, customs revenues increased by 31.6%, and receipts from a single social contribution increased by 29.1%.
The consolidated budget for January-March was executed with a surplus of about 4 billion UAH. This is 3.6% higher than the surplus for the same period last year, which was 3.87 billion UAH. Revenues of the consolidated budget amounted to UAH 220.49 billion, expenses – UAH 216.53 billion.
Recall that in 2016 the deficit of the state budget amounted to 70.3 billion UAH or 2.9% of GDP. Incomes of the state budget in 2016 amounted to 616.3 billion UAH, expenditures – 684.9 billion UAH. In addition, last year the government decided to raise the minimum wage by half to UAH 3,200. Thanks to this decision, in particular, in 2017, tax revenues and ERUs.
