The Cabinet of Ministry of Ukraine has scheduled for 2017 direct support to small farmers.
In direct targeted assistance can rely exclusively small enterprises up to 500 hectares.
The Cabinet approved and sent to the Horse of the main directions of budgetary policy for 2017, which included direct support to small and medium agricultural producers from the budgets of all levels of up to 1% of gross agricultural production by 2016. The decision was taken at a cabinet meeting. Commenting on the decision, Prime Minister of Ukraine Vladimir Groisman set the task before the Cabinet of Ministry to develop a formula providing direct state aid, which would take into account the efficiency of production on the farm. “It is important that the budget 2017 was quite significant support farms that produce national product. Priority – are small and medium-sized farms. We have to make a formula that will determine what we give support to 1 ha area by a factor of production, ie not just to encourage the cultivation of land, but also to expand production, increase productivity, improve technology, organic production, processing and so on “, – said Groisman.
Taras Kytiviy previously reported plans to consolidate departments to support agriculture in the amount of 1% of gross agricultural production at a separate law. The Minister said that in 2015 the amount of agricultural sales totaled about 550 billion USD, respectively, it is a budget allocation of around 5.5 billion. The Ministry also expects to receive from the state budget additional 450 million USD for projects to support agriculture this year.
