The International Monetary Fund intends to provide Ukraine with $ 1.7 billion in the third tranche of funding under the program extended EFF.

“As for the amount, as far as I know, this will be one tranche, not union (two tranches) I think the amount of the tranche will be $ 1.7 billion.”, – He said during the traditional press briefing in Washington.
Rice recalled that the issue of continued cooperation with Ukraine on the EFF program and provide it with the third tranche will be considered by the IMF Board of Directors in July.
 May 18 IMF mission concluded its work in Ukraine. As a result of her work, it was announced an agreement with the Ukrainian authorities on the next revision of the EFF program and country allocation of the third tranche of the loan.
Opened in March 2015 a four-year program EFF totaling SDR12, 348 billion (about US $ 17.11 billion at current exchange rates), with the first tranche of $ 5 billion originally anticipated quarterly review of the program, the selection in 2015 of three more tranches SDR1, 18 billion (about $ 1.63 billion) and a decrease in quarterly tranches in the years 2016-2018 to SDR0,44 billion ($ 0.61 billion).
At the same time, Ukraine was able to get only the first two tranches, the first part of a $ 2.7 billion went to the government to support the state budget, whereas traditionally the recipient of the remaining funds was the National Bank of Ukraine.
