Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has approved a memorandum of cooperation with the IMF.
Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine approved a memorandum of cooperation with key creditor – the International Monetary Fund for a term of 4 years and using the enhanced (Extended Fund Facility) with funding of $ 17.5 billion. This was stated by Prime Minister of Ukraine Arseniy Yatsenyuk.
«The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine agreed on a draft memorandum between Ukraine and the IMF. Last year we had a program with the IMF – the program stand-by, according to which the entire list of reforms was made by the government – said A.Yatsenyuk. – We have asked the IMF with a request for approval by the Board of Directors of the IMF’s four-year program of cooperation with Ukraine which in general will enable Ukraine for 4 years additionally get a financial support about 25 billion dollars. Of which 17.5 billion dollars the IMF will provide Ukraine to stabilize the financial situation in the country».
