DTEK extracts almost half of all coal in Ukraine (Interfax-Ukraine)

The share of total coal extraction of mines under the control of the largest private energy holding in Ukraine – DTEK – in the first quarter of 2013 came to 48.1%, read materials of the Energy and Coal Industry Ministry of Ukraine.
DTEK Pavlohradvuhillia over the period extracted 4.472 million tonnes of coal, DTEK Rovenkiantracit – 1.038 million tonnes, DTEK Sverdlovantracit – 1.632 million tonnes, DTEK Komsomolets Donbasu Mine – 1.038 million tonnes, DTEK Dobropilliavuhillia – 809,200 tonnes and Bilozerska Mine – 323,200 tonnes.
DTEK was created in 2005 to manage the energy assets of Rinat Akhmetov’s System Capital Management (SCM, Donetsk).
