Compared to the same period in 2014 is a positive balance improved by $ 90.9 million (in January-October 2014 the surplus amounted to $ 290.1 million).
In particular, in October 2015 foreign trade balance was negative and amounted to $ 356 million, whereas before that for 7 months it was positive. The October figure was the worst since December last year.
Exports of goods in January-October 2015 amounted to $ 31 341.7 million (-31.8% compared with January-October 2014), imports – $ 30 960.7 million (-32.2%).
Exports to the EU countries in January-October 2015 amounted to $ 10 471.7 million (33.4% of total exports). Reducing this figure compared with January-October 2014 amounted to 28.4%.
Imports from EU countries for 10 months of 2015 was $ 12 546.8 million (40.5% of total imports). Reducing this figure compared with January-October 2014 amounted to 27.9%.
The basis of the Ukrainian exports in January-October 2015 amounted to metals and products made of them (26.0%), vegetable products (20.3%), machinery and electrical machinery (10.1%), mineral products (8.5%).
The total volume of imports for 10 months in 2015 mineral products accounted for 32.8%, the mechanical and electrical equipment – 15.7%, chemical products – 13.4%.
