EBRD replaces director in Ukraine (KyivPost)
Sevki Acuner has been appointed the new director of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) in Ukraine.
Acuner, who previously held the position of EBRD Deputy Country Director for Turkey, is replacing Andre Kuusvek, who has been appointed Director of Local Currency and Capital Markets Development at the EBRD’s headquarters in London and who had been Director for Ukraine since 2008.
Acuner is a Turkish national and holds a BSc in Management from Bosporus University, Istanbul, and an MBA from Concordia University, Montreal, Canada.
The EBRD is the largest financial investor in Ukraine. As of March 31, 2013 the bank had committed over EUR 8.63 billion ($11 billion) through 337 projects in Ukraine.
