The European Investment Bank will give Ukraine 400 million euro to support small and medium-sized businesses.
The loan of EUR 400 million right through the Ukrainian commercial banks to support the development of the private sector.
Ukraine has attracted from the European Investment Bank 400 million euro loan for the implementation of banking sector support projects of small and medium-sized businesses.
This is stated in a statement the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine.
“The Ministry of Finance of Ukraine is the borrower of funds. The loan of EUR 400 million right through the Ukrainian commercial banks to support private sector development, on projects of small and medium businesses, institutions, projects of mid-cap, as well as projects of social and economic infrastructure, including energy efficiency projects and adaptation to climate change,”- said in a statement.
As noted, the participation in the allocation program can take small and medium enterprises with the number of hired personnel up to 250 people, institutions, mid-cap to the number of staff to 3,000 people, as well as enterprises with the number of more than 3,000 people.
The size of loans, which can claim company – from 25 million euros (for small and medium-sized enterprises) to 50 million euros for companies with number of employees more than 3,000 people. This project must comply with the European Investment Bank.
As reported, the agreement on the provision of funds of the European Investment Bank within the framework of the assistance program for banks and SMEs has been ratified by the Verkhovna Rada has on July 15, 2015. However, the organizational arrangements for implementation of the agreement started only in March this year.
