In I quarter of 2016 the export of Ukrainian goods and services amounted to $ 9.7 billion.
Compared to January of this year, there was a significant slowdown in the fall of exports (in January the figure was 31.9%, and now – 15,1%).
A positive aspect of I quarter is that the physical volume of exports of goods in February-March 2016 reached the level of the same period last year. When you save this trend and the continuation of the world market prices, which began to occur in late March, can be expected for the year export growth index
products.
In the structure of exports of goods was the largest share of agricultural products and food industry (42.6%), metal products (22.2%) and machinery (12.2%).
The main trading partner of Ukraine’s exports of goods in the I quarter of 2016 was the European Union (41.4%), while Russia’s share fell to 8.4%.
Exports of goods to EU countries in I quarter 2016 has decreased by 2.7% (in January 2016 the reduction of exports of goods was 11.7%). The export of goods to EU countries saw an increase in volumes on most sectors, with the exception of metallurgical products, mineral products and chemical products. Most in the EU increased supply of agricultural products and food industry (by $ 158, 6 million) (or $ 34.4 million), wood and paper, and the various
manufactured goods (by $ 30.4 million).
Among the regions of Ukraine most negative contribution to the dynamics of export of goods in the I quarter of 2016 observed in Dnepropetrovsk (-5.9 percentage points), Donetsk (-3.5 percentage points), Zaporizhzhya (-3.5 percentage points) regions and Kiev (-2.4 pp). At the same time, areas such as Lugano (1.0 percentage points), Lviv (0.5 percentage points) and Ivano-Frankivsk (0.2 percentage points), made a positive contribution to the export dynamics.
