Import to Ukraine in September exceeded exports.
The negative balance of foreign trade in goods in September 2014 was $ 337.4 million while the previous four months it was positive including in July and August ranged between $ 308-332 million, reported the State Statistics Service. According to the data, in September this year compared to September last year, exports fell by 15.3% – to $ 4.304 billion, imports fell by 38% – to $ 4.642 billion. State Statistics Service clarifies that in comparison with the previous month in September 2014, exports of goods increased by 1.3%, imports – by 17.5%. In January-September, exports from Ukraine decreased compared with the same period last year by 7.7% – to $ 41.98 billion, while imports – by 25.4%, to $ 41.17 billion. The positive balance of foreign trade in the first nine months of 2014 totaled $ 0.80 billion compared to $ 9.73 billion UAH negative balance for the same period of 2013.As reported the negative balance of foreign trade in goods for the year 2013 amounted to $ 13.65 billion, up 13.9% better than the 2012 figure. According to the State Statistics Service exports last year fell by 8% – to $ 63.31 billion, while imports – by 9.1%, to $ 76.96 billion.
