Industrial production increased compared to the same period of the previous year by 2% in Ukraine in January-August 2016. This is evidenced by the State Statistics Service data.
Including production in processing industry increased by 3.3%, in mining and quarrying – remained at the level of the same period last year.
Industrial output in January-August increased compared to the same period last year in fifteen areas, and Kiev in particular – in the Luhansk region of 64%, Kirovohrad – by 14.4%, Cherkasy – by 9.3%, the Chernigov – 8, 8%, Kiev – 8%, Mykolaiv – by 7.5%, Ternopil – by 6.9%, Donetsk – by 6.9%, Kharkov – by 6.5%, the Transcarpathian – by 6.5%, Odessa – 3.6%, in Kherson – by 3.3%, Zhytomyr – by 1.9%, Vinnytsia – by 0.4%, Lviv – by 0.4%. Industrial production increased by 6% in Kiev.
Industrial production fell in the Sumy region in January-August – 10.2%, Ivano-Frankivsk – by 7.8%, Chernovtsy – by 6.3%, Volyn – by 5.1%, Zaporozhye – by 4.8% Khmelnitsky – by 2.4%, in Dnipropetrovsk – by 0.6%, Rivne – by 0.2%, in Poltava – by 0.1%.
Industrial production increased compared to the same month in 2015 to 3.4% in August 2016 compared to July 2016 – decreased by 0.8%.
Industrial production in Ukraine has decreased in comparison with the year 2014 by 13.4% in 2015.
