In Ukraine increased fish capture.
Positive dynamics was achieved by increasing the anchovy catch, steers and carp.
During the first half of 2015 the catch of fish in the waters of Ukraine as a whole showed a positive trend and amounted to 19.2 thousand tons, which is 30.2% more than the same period last year. It is reported by the press service of the State Agency for Fisheries.
“The positive dynamics was achieved by increasing the catch of species like sprat – 5.54 ths. tonnes (+ 42% compared to the same period of 2014), goby – 6.30 ths. tonnes (+ 84%), silver carp – 259.4 ths. tonnes (+ 146%). The total fish catch (ponds Ukraine and oceanic fish) remained at the level indicators in 2014 – 35.096 ths. tonnes in 2014 and 35.058 ths. tonnes in 2015, “- said in a statement.
As reported, in particular in the Azov-Black Sea basin were caught 13.3 ths. tonnes of fish, which is 62.7% more than the same period last year.
“The lack of growth in the total catch of fish is due to the decline in catch in marine economic zones of other countries, due to the transfer of ocean freight vessels during the shipowner and the cessation of reporting statistical agencies of Ukraine. However, some aspects of Ukrainian oceanic fishery in 2015 showed a positive dynamics – Ukraine to increase production of krill in the open oceans. Compared to the year 2014 figure increased almost twice – from 7.1 ths. tonnes to 13.4 ths. tonnes in 2015 “, – reported the press service.
