Currently, export their products to European markets are entitled to 277 Ukrainian enterprises, of which about 35% produce food, the press service of the State Service for Food Safety and Consumer Protection referring to the head office of Vladimir Lapa. “We see the progress of the domestic producer in the European Union market. So, now 277 Ukrainian enterprises have the right to export their products to the European market, of which 97 – companies that produce food products, 180 – is the generation of non-animal origin” – quoted the press service of Vladimir Lapa. According to the report, these 97 food producers 7 producing poultry meat and products from it 19 – fish and fish products, 2 – eggs and egg products, 49 – honey, 5 – frog legs and snails, 1 – 1 and collagen – raw materials. This year, access to the EU market were 13 Ukrainian producers of milk and dairy products. “For many companies the right to export to the EU – the question of status, and this is a significant advantage in other markets,” – said Vladimir Lapa.
30 September the European Commission adopted a proposal Ukrainian producers and expressed its readiness to increase quotas for Ukrainian exports of some types of products in the European market. In particular, the increased quota for honey (3.000 tonnes per year), processed grain products (7.800 thousand tons per year), the production of tomatoes (5.000 tons per year), wine (500 tons per year) and oats (4.000 of tons per year). Moreover, for wheat, flour and cereals from her quota increased to 100 thousand tons per year, for the production of corn (except seeds, flour and cereals) – 650 thousand tons per year, for the production of barley (except flour and granules) – to 350 thousand tons per year. In addition, most popular fertilizers duty will be reduced to 0 (except urea – fee of 3% of customs value). Also, the EU intends to reduce to zero tariffs on Ukrainian shoes, copper rods, wire, aluminum and derivative products (including aluminum profiles), camcorders, vydeotyunerы, reception apparatus for television and radyoresyverov. According to the Government, the economic effect of a possible increase in export quotas on Ukrainian agricultural market of the European Union will be about $ 200 million. A free trade zone between Ukraine and the EU entered into force on 1 January this year. Export of Ukrainian goods to the EU in January-July 2016 increased by 6.7% compared to the same period last year, reaching 6.5 billion dollars.
