Parliament supported a government bill that provides additional revenue to the budget in 2017.
The Verkhovna Rada supported in the second reading and in general the government bill on introducing amendments to the Tax Code of Ukraine to ensure the balance of budget revenues in 2017 No. 5132.
235 people’s deputies voted for the draft.
Changes in the norms of the Tax Code of Ukraine proposed by the bill should create conditions for increasing revenues to the budget and ensuring the balance of the budget for 2017, as well as adapting to the norms of European legislation.
In particular, the amendments concern the increase of excise taxes on alcohol, the introduction of unified excises on fuel, as well as land assessments for the purposes of agricultural tax, real estate valuation, rent payments and special regime of VAT for agricultural producers.
According to the approved law, next year the excise on beer will increase by the annual inflation rate, that is, by 12% – from UAH 2.48 per 1 liter to UAH 2.78. Initially, the Cabinet offered to raise excises for the Brewers by 20%, but after consultations in the committee, the tax was decided to increase by 12%.
