The Austrian company wants to invest 400 million euros in small and medium agribusiness in Ukraine.
To implement the project investors intend to create in Ukraine a fund that will work directly with farmers, said on press conference Deputy Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food Jaroslav Krasnopolskiy.
«I have held talk with an Austrian company that is ready to invest 400 million euros in support of small and medium-sized businesses at the level of investment,» – said Krasnopolskiy without specifying the name of the company, citing the confidentiality of the negotiations.
According to him, for this project Austrians intend to create in Ukraine a fund that will work directly with farmers. In addition, each of the Ukrainian companies that will collaborate with the Fund will be able to get him up to 20 million euros for the development of the business.
At the same time, the Minister said that the Austrian company will start implementing this project after Ukraine will prepare the relevant legislative field. In particular, at the legislative level will be given the opportunity to acquire the status of family farms of legal entities, as well as the conditions for the development of cooperatives in rural areas.
