The European Commission has allocated 600 million euros Ukraine in the framework of macro-financial assistance.
The European Commission on Wednesday, July 22, to give Ukraine 600 million euros in the new macro-financial assistance program, said the EU Delegation to Ukraine.
“Today, the European Commission, on behalf of the European Union will provide Ukraine a loan of 600 million euros. This corresponds to the first tranche under a new macro-financial assistance program”, – the report says.
According to the representative, the funds provided for the urgent financial needs of Ukraine and intended to support the economic stabilization of the country, as well as for the implementation of reforms.
European Commissioner for Economic and Monetary Affairs, Pierre Moscovici recalled that the EUR 600 million macro-financial assistance to complement the 1.6 billion euros that the EU has already provided.
“Also, in the coming months the European Commission provides for the allocation of an additional 1.2 billion euros, provided the successful implementation of economic and structural reforms agreed between the EU and Ukraine”, – said Moscovici.
