The privatization of Odessa Port Plant will start next week.
Next week, the State Property Fund of Ukraine (SPF) will start the procedure for the privatization of Odessa Port Plant. This was reported today the Head of the SPF Igor Bilous.
Odessa Port Plant is the number one object of privatization in Ukraine to date.
As noted Bilous OPP privatization should start in the next 10 days to complete the process this year.
“Next week will announce a preliminary plan of placement of shares”, – he added.
Also, the Head of the State Property Fund said that so far in OPP are interested Norwegian, American, Arab and domestic investors.
The value of assets of the enterprise Bilous estimated at “hundreds of millions of dollars.”
Recall OPP is interesting because it has the largest CIS production of ammonia and urea production major. In addition, there is the country’s only terminal for transshipment of ammonia to marine vessel. In addition to production, the plant is the final link ammonia “Tolyatti-Odessa- Gorlovka.” Today, the state owns 99.6% of the shares OPP.
