Ukraine broke the historical record grain exports.
Ukraine since the beginning of 2014/2015 marketing year exported 33.494 million tons of grain which exceeds the last MG historical record of 32.3 million tons. This was stated by Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Alex Pavlenko.
“For the marketing year reached a record grain exports 33,494,000 tons. Transitional remnants almost 3.5 million tonnes more than last year”, – the minister said at the beginning of the meeting of the Cabinet of Ministry of Ukraine.
He stressed that the concerns about the failure of the seed is not confirmed. “Today completed sowing – at 100% of the plan,” – said Pavlenko.
He said that the total area planted corresponds to last year’s level – 26.5 million hectares, including grain wedge of 14.8 million ha: 7.9 million hectares of winter crops and 6.9 million hectares of spring crops.
Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine reported earlier that the harvest-2015 Ukraine sowed winter crops 8,970,000 hectares, which is 7% higher than the harvest of 2014, including winter crops for grain – 8 million hectares (wheat – 6 8 million hectares, barley – 1.1 million hectares, rye – 149.6 thous. ha) of winter rapeseed – 891.6 thous. ha.
