Ukraine intends to issue Eurobonds for a billion dollars.
Head of the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine Natalia Yaresko said that the meeting with the main creditors and expects the end of April to issue Eurobonds in the amount of $ 1 billion under the guarantee of the United States.
According to her, thanks to loan guarantees, market participants assess the risk of the bonds at the level of US sovereign risk.
Natalia Yaresko noted that the bonds will be issued in accordance with the four-year program of the IMF in the amount of $ 17.5 billion approved March 11th. The program unlocks another international assistance to Ukraine in the amount of 7,5 billion, including US government guarantee.
Earlier it was reported that Ukraine has offered to holders of its bonds to discuss the reduction of principal and coupon payments, as well as the extension of maturities of securities.
