The rating agency expects that the Fund was likely to provide Ukraine the next tranche of $1.7 billion before the end of the current semester.
Ukraine before the end of the semester will receive the next tranche from the key creditor countries the International Monetary Fund in the amount of $ 1.7 billion, according to the forecast of the international rating agency Moody’s.
“The new Ukrainian government took office on April 14, has returned to the agenda of reforms agreed with international partners. The IMF mission is currently working in Kiev on the second revision of the reform program, and Moody’s expects that the Fund likely will provide Ukraine the next tranche of $1.7 billion by the end of the semester,”- said in a forecast.
The IMF approved a loan program of the Ukrainian economy with increased funding mechanism (Extended Fund Facility – EFF), totaling $ 17.5 billion for the period of 4 years, in March 2015. The first tranche of the new program in the amount of $ 5 billion Ukraine has received on March 13 the second – at $ 1.7 billion – 4 August 2015.
Now there is a second revision of the cooperation program. Ukraine and the IMF to discuss a wide range of issues within the framework of the second review, which includes various aspects of monetary, banking, anti-corruption policy, pension reform, and privatization. The result of the revision must be approved by a memorandum between the Ukrainian authorities and the IMF Board of Directors.
