Ukraine’s gross domestic product (GDP) fell by 3.5%
At the same time, according to the NBU the figures fall in GDP improved from 9% to 7%.
The fall in gross domestic product (GDP) of Ukraine in January-September 2014 amounted to 3.5%, said the head of the NBU Valeriya Gontareva.
However she stressed that the final statistics may be even better than this estimate.
V.Gontareva also reported that the National Bank has improved the assessment of GDP as a whole in 2014, it a fall of 9% to fall by 7%.
According to the State Statistics Service Ukraine’s real GDP in the third quarter of 2014 decreased by 5.1% compared with the same period last year.
Earlier the International Monetary Fund predicted contraction of real GDP in Ukraine by 6.5% in 2014.
