US to allocate $ 560 million in financial assistance to Ukraine.
President of the United States Donald Trump on May 5, signed a bill on the state budget of the US for the 2017 fiscal year.
The budget is about $ 1.2 trillion, it will be in effect until September 30 – the end of the fiscal year in the US. Among other things, the document provides for Ukraine to allocate $ 410 million of macro-financial assistance, as well as the provision of $ 150 million in the framework of the “Initiative for Assistance to Ukraine in the field of security.”
According to the draft budget, the US spending on national security and defense is increased by $ 15 billion, and for the protection of the state border by $ 1.5 billion. At the same time, the construction of a wall on the border with Mexico is not budgeted. In general, defense and security spending will amount to $ 648.8 billion, $ 38.8 billion will be allocated for energy.
