World Bank experts believe that by 2016 Ukraine’s economy will grow by 3.5%.

The World Bank expects the resumption of economic growth in Ukraine in the second half of 2015 and forecasts the GDP growth in 2016 at 3.5% in 2017 to 4%. This was reported by economist of the World Bank in Ukraine, Belarus and Moldova, Anastasiya Golovach the presentation of the Economic Survey and the macroeconomic forecast for Ukraine.

«The turning point in the trend should be in the second half of next year. We expect that if the government will continue structural reforms to restore the investment climate, the driving force of economic growth will be just investments, and in 2016 the growth of the economy will recover to the level of 3.5%. In 2017 we expect GDP growth of 4%»- she said.

Recall the World Bank for the fourth time this year downgraded the outlook for the economy of Ukraine, waiting for the fall of the country’s GDP by 8% in 2014 and by 1% in 2015. Bank explains its decision to the conflict in the east of Ukraine which disrupts economic activity, the collection of taxes has a negative impact on exports and reduces investor confidence.
