According to the State Statistics Service of Ukraine, consumer prices in August fell by 0.8%.

The prices for food products and non-alcoholic beverages in August fell by 1.7%. Most (17.2% and 16.2%) cheaper fruits and vegetables. In addition, a 2.5% decrease in prices for rice, 0.3-0.5% – for pasta, processed cereals, fish, bread. At the same time rose 1,0-3,6% meat and meat products, eggs, sugar, milk, soft drinks.
Prices of alcoholic beverages and tobacco products in August rose by 1.1%.
The rise in prices (tariffs) for housing, water, electricity, gas and other fuels by 0.2% was due primarily to a rise in price of rental housing with 1.2% and an increase in rent of 0.6%.
Prices in the health sector in August rose by 0.4% and prices of transport decreased by 0.3% (due to the reduction in the cost of fuel and lubricants by 1.1%).
