Petr Poroshenko announced the main directions of reform: demonopolization, deregulation, decentralization, the fight against corruption.
“By supporting Ukraine today, you are investing in the future of Europe, security of tomorrow” – said the Head of the Ukrainian state representing the prospects of investing in Ukraine.
In addition to the reforms and the fight against corruption by foreign guests spoke about their financial support of Ukraine.
The largest financial assistance in the amount of 1.8 billion euro will provide the European Union.
The President of the European Commission Jean-Claude Juncker said earlier that out of this amount has been 250 million euro of the final tranche of macro-economic assistance. European services have been instructed to give second and third tranches of aid in such a way that the first tranche came this year.
The State Secretary of Germany Markus Ederer said that Germany will provide Ukraine 1.4 billion euros in loans, financial aid and grants. In 2015, Germany will provide 700 million euros in the framework of bilateral aid and € 500 million in the form of financial borrowing for budgetary support. 200 million euros in Germany will provide grants in the fields of energy, energy efficiency, decentralization, civil society and others.
The Parliamentary Vice-Minister for Foreign Affairs of Japan Kentaro Sonoura Japan has pledged $ 300 million in support of Ukraine. “Japan has provided $ 1.8 billion which is a major contribution to improving the economic situation in the modernization of processing plants of waste – $ 500 million in financial assistance. This year, Japan will also make a financial aid of $ 300 million. And provided also provide grand for procurement of goods, products, and including medical equipment,”- announced Sonoura.
Switzerland as part of a new strategy of cooperation with Ukraine to double aid to $ 100 million, said the State Secretary of the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation Manuel Sager.
The Minister of Citizenship and immigration Canada Chris Alexander, announced the allocation of 19.7 million Canadian dollars for the development of small and medium business in Ukraine in 2016-2021 respectively and $ 50 million in humanitarian aid. For small and medium-sized businesses will allocate 110 million euros and the European Commission.
Norway will give Ukraine 35 million euros to support reforms in 2015. “In 2013 our assistance has increased 10 times, and this year we are providing 35 million euros,” – said The Norwegian Foreign Ministry State Secretary Hans Brattsker.
Estonia will provide Ukraine $ 3.35 million financial assistance. The amount, though not large, but there is progress – last year support from this country amounted to 1.2 million euros.
