The balance of foreign trade in goods of Ukraine in April 2016 amounted to $ 80.3 million, according to the State Statistics Service.
According to its data, but in general on the basis of the first four months of 2016 the balance turned negative and amounted to $ 0.881 billion, compared with a positive balance of $ 0.042 billion in January-April 2015.
State Statistics said that exports of goods decreased by 13.9% during the reporting period – up to $ 10.81 billion, imports – by 6.6%, whereas in the first quarter, the pace of the fall were higher: exports – 18.5%, imports -9.3%.
As a result, export import coverage ratio improved to 0.92 from 0.89 in January-March.
State Statistics Service reported that the foreign trade operations with partners from 209 countries of the world.
According statvedomstva among the most exported products of the partner countries to the Russian Federation-8.5% of total exports, China-7.9%, Egypt-6.5%, Poland-6.0%, Turkey-5.8 %, Italy-5.3%, India-4.7%, Germany-4.3%, Spain-3.6%, Hungary-3.3%, the Netherlands-3.2%.
Exports to EU countries amounted to $ 4.3147 billion in cash, or 39.9% of total exports, and increased by 0.7% compared with January-April 2015.
The basis of the commodity structure of Ukrainian exports were products of vegetable origin-22,3%, base metals and articles thereof-22.2%, and fats of animal or vegetable oil-11.9%, mechanical and electrical equipment-10.4% mineral products-6.9%, food products-6.2%, production of chemical and related industries-4.5%, wood and wood products-3.5%.
The largest imports of goods from the Russian Federation-11.7%, China-11.5%, Germany-11.0%, Belarus-6.8%, Poland- 6.5%, USA-5.2% France-4.5%, Italy-3.4%, Turkey-3.2%.
Imports of goods from EU countries amounted to $ 5.2406 billion in cash, or 44.8% of the total and increased by 2.1% compared with January-April 2015.
Mineral products accounted for 18.6% of import volume, mechanical and electrical equipment-18.5%, production of chemical and related industries-17.2%, polymeric materials, plastic and products from them, as well as ground transportation, aircraft, vessels-by 7.4%, non-precious metals and products from them-5,6%, herbal products-5.4%, food products-4.5%, textile materials and articles-3.9 %.
