Balance of payments deficit in Ukraine decreased fivefold.
The National Bank of Ukraine has reported a deficit and balance of payments surplus in July.
The balance of payments of Ukraine in January-July 2015, according to preliminary data, a deficit of $ 862 billion, which is almost 5.3 times less than the deficit in the past year.
According to NBU, in July, the balance of payments recorded a surplus of $ 438 million compared to the deficit a year earlier at $ 263 million.
The current account surplus in the first half of the year amounted to $ 88 million. Against the deficit for the same period last year, amounting to $ 2.744 billion.
The financial account balance of payments in January-July recorded a surplus of $ 1.289 billion, which is $ 897 million or 241%, less than in January-July 2014.

The balance of payments of Ukraine for six months, according to preliminary data, was recorded a deficit of $ 1.3 billion.
Recall, that in 2013 Ukraine’s balance of payments recorded a surplus of $ 2 billion against the deficit in 2012 of $ 4.2 billion.
It has been reported that the increase in the surplus was driven by significant volume of placed securities of the government and the private sector eurobonds in the first half of the year.
