Canada opens market to 98 % of Ukrainian goods.
Ukraine closer to the possibility of free trade with Canada following the signing of a document on the completion of negotiations on a free trade zone for agricultural producers. This was stated in the message Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food. “Since the entry into force of the Agreement, Canada will open the market for 98% of the Ukrainian production, and in return Ukraine liberalizes the market for 80% of Canadian production”, – underlined in the message. Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine Oleksiy Pavlenko noted that the domestic agricultural sector will receive significant benefits, because the majority of agricultural products will be abolished import duties to Canada. “Products that receive the most favorable market conditions in Canada, a sunflower oil, sugar, chocolate, confectionery and bakery products. Also excluded are all above-quota tariffs for dairy products processing, in particular dairy products, poultry and eggs, “- quoted the press service of Deputy Minister for European Integration Vladislav Rutitskii.
