The EU has increased the purchase of Ukrainian corn by 37%.

In June this year, the export of maize from Ukraine amounted to 919.7 thous.tons compared to 1716.6 thous.tons in June of 2015.
Since the beginning of the current season, Ukraine exported 16 million tons of corn, which is 9% less than the same period last season (17.587 million tons in October-June 2014/15 MG). The main markets of Ukrainian maize are the European Union countries.
During the reporting period, Ukraine supplied to the EU market by 37% more maize than for all of last season (8082 ths.tons compared to 5906.8 thous.tons). For other key areas, such as China, Egypt, Iran and Israel have been a reduction in supply.
