This season Ukrainian farmers are waiting for a record crop of peas. Gross harvest of this crop in 2016 could reach 752 million tons, and it is exactly two times more than last year.
The report said that the pea harvest this season will break all records for the last 15 years. These figures are related to an increase in cultivated areas in the country for forty percent. According to experts, the increase in pea crop is due to the fact that farmers have planted additional space due to the fact that the harvest of last year failed to sow winter crops, peas and prices rapidly increased in the domestic market.
This year the situation will change, promise to farmers – good weather conditions allowed to provide a high yield of pea, which will affect its cost.
