France will take part in the privatization of Ukrainian enterprises.
France is ready to take an active part in the privatization of Ukrainian state property. This was stated by Prime Minister of Ukraine Arseniy Yatsenyuk after meeting with French Prime Minister Manuel Waltz in Paris.
The Prime Minister added that the French side will send experts to the State Property Fund of Ukraine “to ensure that privatization in Ukraine was fair and transparent, not for someone, but for the real investor.”
“The two basic elements of economic cooperation between Ukraine and France – it’s an investment in the energy sector and investments in the agricultural sector”, – stressed Yatsenyuk.
Yatsenyuk also said that an agreement was reached on cooperation in the fight against corruption. He recalled that some of the assets of Ukrainian officials located in member countries of the European Union, particularly in France. “The French Government has clearly indicated that they are will to cooperate actively with the Ukrainian law enforcement system to monitor all illegal assets held by the Ukrainian authorities on the territory of France,” – he said.
Yatsenyuk said that during his meeting with French President Francois Hollande has been agreed to hold in Paris in the autumn of this year, the investment conference for the presentation of the investment potential of Ukraine. The same investment conference, recalled the head of government, to be held in the United States and Germany.
