In the hryvnia equivalent aggregate public debt for 2015 increased by almost 1.5 times (42.8%) – to UAH 1.101 trillion to 1.572 trillion UAH (primarily due to the devaluation of the hryvnia).
Direct government debt in 2015 decreased in dollar terms from $ 60.058 billion to $ 55.575 billion, and increased from 947.0 billion USD to 1.334 trillion USD in UAH equivalent.
Direct external debt for 2015 increased by 11.6% to $ 34.410 billion, direct internal grew by 10.2% to 508.0 billion USD.
Publicly guaranteed debt in 2015 increased in dollar terms to $ 9.753 billion to $ 9.912 billion, and in UAH – to UAH 153.802 billion to UAH 237.904 billion.
As reported, the total amount of direct public debt in 2014 has almost doubled in the hryvnia equivalent – to UAH 480.219 billion to UAH 946.819 billion, and decreased from $ 60.080 billion to $ 60.045 billion in dollar terms.
