Investments in the Ukrainian IT-companies increased by 257%.
In 2015 investments in the Ukrainian IT-companies has increased to $ 132 million. Thus, the volume of private and venture capital investments in the industry increased by 237% compared to 2014 year. It is stated in the review of the Ukrainian Association international investors (UVCA).
“Ukrainian IT-companies are attracting more and more foreign investors are not losing interest in the local area”, – noted in UVCA.
According to her, only in 2015 it was concluded 66 transactions. About half (48%) of them have concluded with the participation of international funds, and the majority of transactions (62%) – venture capital investments, which are carried out in the early stages of projects.
In UVCA believe that this fact is interesting because it is very risky venture investment. In addition, also in 2015, we entered into four investment deals in the growing stage for the sum of $ 100 million.
According UVCA experts, the emergence of such transactions entail activation of the investment market, as examples of successful exits and sales companies.
“Ukraine is already a world leader in providing IT outsourcing, and our start-ups have become competitive in the global market are increasingly turning attention to global investors in Ukraine, but in the market of the country is still not enough capital in comparison with other European countries.”, – noted in UVCA.
