The Ukrainian government and the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) signed a loan agreement of a second loan for development policies in the implementation of economic reforms in the amount of up to 36.969 billion yen, or about $ 300 million.

The loan is aimed at improving the efficiency and transparency of the public sector, deregulation and improvement of the business environment.

Representatives of the Japanese side made it clear that another component is to reform its inefficient and unjustified utility subsidies. According to them, in addition, technical assistance will be given new bodies to combat corruption.

Prime Minister Arseniy Yatsenyuk said that the loan is allocated for 20 years with a grace period of 6 years and an interest rate of JPY LIBOR + 0,5%, which now stands at less than 1% per annum
