Kherson region set a record for the grain harvest.
Kherson region received a record total production of early grain crops in the years of Ukraine’s independence, despite the fact that due to the heavy rains in the area of the collection of early grain crops was delayed by almost two weeks.
“During the field work, agricultural producers, in addition to its own harvesters 2518, attracted about 450 additional units from other regions. Today, with a planned area of 721 thousand. Hectares harvested 100% of the crop” – reprimanded in the regional administration.
Harvested 2,350 million tons of early grains with the average yield of 32.5 c / ha (last year – 26.9 c / ha). Shaft of early grain is 2 million 350 thousand tons which is 70 thousand tones more than in 2011, when a record was recorded for the collection of crops.
In general, the region expects to receive about 2.6 million tons of grain.
