Ministry of Finance of Ukraine is counting on an increase in the IMF program.
Ukraine has a reason to hope for an increase in the program of the International Monetary Fund, said the Minister of Finance of Ukraine Natalia Yaresko.
The Minister said that in the seven months that have passed since the date of approving the terms of the expanded program of financing for Ukraine, the conditions have changed, and allow the IMF to increase the loan amount.
The Minister recalled that since the beginning of the year Ukraine has already received $ 9.7 billion, which made it possible to increase the reserves of the NBU to stabilize the national currency and to clean up the banking system. Until the end, the Ministry of Finance hopes to get another 4 billion dollars of financial assistance from partners, of which 1.7 billion – the next tranche of the IMF, this tranche linked Eurobond issue under warranty US $ 1 billion tranche of macro-financial assistance from the EU for $ 670 million, and indirectly – Japanese loan of $ 300 million.
