National Bank of Ukraine joined the foreign exchange reserves of $ 2.5 billion.
National Bank of Ukraine joined the foreign exchange reserves by $ 2.5 billion from the resulting tranche of the International Monetary Fund. This was reported by the Head of the NBU Valeriya Gontareva.
«The IMF has listed about $ 5 billion and the National Bank of Ukraine has already received. The money was enrolled in the reserves. 2.5 billion are in the account of the National Bank and 2.5 billion are in the account of the Ministry of Finance», – said V.Gontareva.
According to the Head of the National Bank, the transfer of the tranche is a positive factor for the dynamics of the hryvnia.
She recalled that, under the approved program of the IMF at the end of the year the country’s foreign exchange reserves amount to at least $ 17 billion while for comfortable working conditions of the currency market enough already about 15.5 billion.
