The action of a free trade zone between Ukraine and the European Union will start on 1 January 2016, noted in a joint final statement of the summit of the Eastern Partnership.
“The summit participants are eagerly awaiting the preliminary application of deep and comprehensive free trade area with Ukraine, starting from January 1,2016 and the positive effect of its implementation”, – the document says.
The statement noted the importance of constructive tripartite consultations on the implementation of a free trade zone Ukraine and the EU and welcomed the pace of ratification of the agreement by the Member States.
