The EU is preparing a third program of assistance to Ukraine
The Commission began work on third program of macro-financial assistance Ukraine. The next tranche of aid to Ukraine in the amount of 500 million euros in the second macro-financial assistance program of the EU Commissioner for Economic and Monetary Affairs, Pierre Moscovici called the testimony of solidarity with the Ukrainian people.
The Commissioner stressed that the funds that the European Commission provides Kiev should be directed to the reforms in sectors such as public finance management as well as the fight against corruption, restructuring in the energy and financial sectors, reforms in trade and taxation system.
Date of the decision and the amount of aid is not yet known. According to Moscovici, in the coming weeks in Brussels to discuss the third program of financial assistance to Ukraine. «We have received a request from the Ukrainian authorities in September and considering the possibility of implementation of the third program of macro-financial assistance», – he said.
