The EU will give Ukraine 55 million euros for the development of the economy.
Ukraine will receive from the European Union financial assistance amounting to 55 million euros for economic recovery.
An agreement on the financing in the near future must be signed by the Ukrainian government and the European Commission.
The European side has already approved the agreement. On the Ukrainian side, it will soon be put to a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers.
The funds will be granted in accordance with the European Instrument for Partnership for 2016-2020 years.
The money allocated for the creation of strategies for the development of small and medium-sized businesses, the creation of a web portal for small and medium-sized businesses, as well as Ukraine’s participation in the programs aimed at the development of private initiative “Horizon 2020”.
Regionally, the focus is on the creation of business support centers with a developed network of representatives in at least 15 Ukrainian regions.
These centers should promote the launch of innovative start-ups, help to improve the access of legal and administrative services, to provide training for the implementation of business activity.
Among other things, it planned to improve the access of small and medium-sized enterprises to financial resources. To do this, it formed a guarantee fund of 40 million euros.
