The European Commission has started to give loan to Ukraine.
The European Commission started to list Ukraine means the program of financial aid totaling 1.8 billion euros. Ukraine are the first 600 million euros.
“The European Commission has decided to initiate a process that will lead to the payment of Ukraine’s 600 million euros in the form of a loan. This corresponds to the first part of the new program Ukraine macro-financial assistance, which totals 1.8 billion of medium-term loans,” – reported in the European Commission.
The European Commission noted that this would help Ukraine to partially cover the financial needs, and to continue “a long way to difficult reforms” in the area of governance, transparency, anti-corruption, reform the energy sector and improvement of investment attractiveness.
Earlier it was reported that the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko signed legislation providing for granting Ukraine a loan from the European Union of 1.8 billion euros.
The program of macro-financial assistance to Ukraine can be implemented during 2015 and early next year – provided that all requirements are met memorandum and a cooperation program with the IMF remains effective.
This is the third such program to Kiev in 2010. In 2014 and 2015 the European Commission has allocated 3.41 billion euros in two similar programs
