The European Investment Bank loan will go to modernize agricultural infrastructure.
The loan of the European Investment Bank (EIB) to EUR 400 million will be directed to projects to modernize infrastructure in the agricultural sector of Ukraine and to the development of aquaculture.
According to the report on the EIB’s website, the main areas for investment in Ukraine is the purchase of agricultural machinery, equipment for drying, storage and processing of agricultural and fishing industry.
The EIB funds will also be directed at development of infrastructure of the public sector, in particular, testing laboratories, research and educational institutions, equipment for fish stock assessment.
The EIB project will positively affect the development of the agro-industrial complex of Ukraine.
As reported, the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food expects to October 23 to sign an agreement with the EIB to attract EUR400 million for development projects in the agricultural sector.
