The Prime Minister of Ukraine discussed the investment in the Ukrainian gas transportation system with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Italy.
The Prime Minister of Ukraine Arseniy Yatsenyuk discussed with the Foreign Minister of Italy Paolo Dzhentiloni term investment projects in the management and modernization of energy infrastructure in Ukraine.

As is known, Ukraine summer of 2011 officially announced the beginning of a radical modernization of its gas transport system at its own expense which according to preliminary estimates will cost $ 5.3 billion over five to seven years. Investments in the modernization of Ukraine’s main gas pipelines will reduce the cost of transport services by improving the efficiency of the system in terms of increasing efficiency.
The law “On amendments to some laws of Ukraine on reforming the management system unified gas transportation system of Ukraine” came into force on September 10, 2014.
According to the document, the gas transportation system and underground gas storage facilities are state-owned, but now they can be transmitted in the management of specially created companies. These management companies Ukrainian state will receive a controlling stake while the remaining shares can buy European and American companies.
