President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko confident of a positive result of the negotiations with the International Monetary Fund to provide Ukraine the next tranche.

“We are now at a stage of discussions on the future of the memorandum with the IMF, we reach an agreement in my view, an ambitious program of reforms will help Ukraine in 2016, and I am grateful to Christine Lagarde for it.” – Said Poroshenko after talks with IMF Managing Director Lagarde in Davos.

Director of the International Monetary Fund Christine Lagarde also welcomes the prospect of granting Ukraine the next tranche.

“I think it was a very positive discussion, which I hope will bring us closer to the Memorandum, are working on our team and I hope this process will be completed successfully.”, – She said.

Lagarde also informed that the meeting was very productive, the talks discussed issues of economic development in Ukraine. “We discussed the progress of reforms in Ukraine and adoption of the budget for 2016” – added Lagarde.
