The state budget in January was executed with a surplus.
Budget revenues in January increased compared with the same period last year by 32.6%, while expenses decreased by 13.9%.
State budget surplus of Ukraine amounted to 2.45 billion USD in January 2016, including a general fondu- 1.7 billion USD, whereas in January last year, the state budget recorded a deficit of 9.18 billion UAH (the general fund – 11, 1 billion USD).
According to the information of the State Treasury, the state budget revenues in January increased compared with the same period last year by 32.6% – to 29.64 billion USD, including the general fund – by 43.9% to 27.86 billion USD.
At the same time budget expenditures decreased by 13.9% – to 27.16 billion USD, including the general fund – by 14.1% to 26.17 billion USD, due to the lack of intergovernmental transfers that made up last January 11 53 billion USD.
State Treasury notes that, as in early 2015, contributions to the state budget by the National Bank were absent at the beginning of this year.
According to NBU, in January 2016 the formation of the state budget surplus is atypical for the first month of the year. The formation of a surplus, the regulator notes affected by the increase in tax revenues following the introduction of a number of tax changes.
“The pace of growth of tax revenues in January exceeded expectations and was driven, in particular, the tax changes”, – informs NBU.

According to the State Treasury, as a whole in 2015, budget revenues increased by 49.7% – up to 534.65 billion USD, including the general fund – by 62.2% to 503.76 billion USD.
State budget expenditures increased by 2015 to the previous year by 34.1% – up to 576.85 billion USD, including the general fund – by 46.7% to 544.63 billion USD.
As reported, the state budget of 2016 approved by the marginal deficit of USD 83.69 billion, or 3.7% of projected GDP. His income is defined in 595.16 billion USD, including the general fund – UAH 562.810 billion , while the cost respectively UAH 667.820 billion.
The state budget-2016 is based on the forecast GDP growth of 2% with an inflation rate of 12%, while inflation stood at 43.3%, while the decline in GDP in the last year – about 10.5%.
