The Verkhovna Rada may make tenders in public procurement more transparent.
The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine supported the first reading a bill №2087a amending certain laws in the area of public procurement relating to bringing them into line with international standards and the implementation of measures to prevent corruption.
As noted in the explanatory memorandum to the bill, the document proposed lifting the ban on disclosure of submitted proposals and familiarization with the content of the documents, which contain information about the price, and the publication of the minutes of the evaluation of proposals competitive bidding.
They were also invited to address the question of application of standards concerning the procedures of appeal regarding the prevention of intentional blocking trades.
The bill proposes to amend the law on the peculiarities of procurement in selected areas of economic activity and the openness of the use of public funds.
