The transportation of grain by rail increased by 37.9%
Enterprises of transport in January-April of 2017 increased cargo transportation in comparison with the same period of the previous year by 7.7% – up to 205.8 million tons. According to “Ukrzaliznytsya”, the transportation of goods by rail increased by 3.8% – to 110.5 million tons. Including freight in domestic traffic and for export increased by 1.4% – up to 91.1 million tons.
According to the freight nomenclature, rail transportation of grain and grocery products increased by 37.9% to 13.5 million tons, construction materials – by 43%, to 11 million tons, oil and petroleum products – by 53.7%, to 1.3 million Tons, ferrous scrap – by 18.5%, up to 0.9 million tons, informs UkrAgroConsult.
Transportation of goods by water transport decreased by 8% – to 1.3 million tons. Freight transport by road increased by 13.3% to 53.2 million tons.
