Ukraine has already harvested 30.7 million tons of early grain crops.
The highest grain yield observed in Volyn, Ivano-Frankivsk, Lviv and Khmelnitsky regions.
In Ukraine, as of July 17, harvested 30.7 million tons of early while threshed area of 3.4 million hectares. This was announced today during a briefing said Deputy Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food Vladimir Lapa.
“At the moment, it harvested 30.7 million tons of grain crops. If we talk about the individual headings, the wheat is threshed on an area of 1.9 million hectares – is 28% of the projected area. It harvested 6.5 million tons of wheat,”- said the Deputy Minister.
According to him, grain threshed on an area of 3.4 million hectares.
“Threshed area of 3.4 million hectares – is 33% of the forecast for the early grain and grain-legume crops. The yield is 31.6 quintals per hectare, “- said Lapa, noting that last year the yield was 31.5 centners per hectare.
He also said that the Ministry forecast that the yield of early grain crops in 2015 is 59 million tons.
